Norman Lindsay’s entire name was Norman Alfred William Lindsay, he was born on February 22, 1879 in Creswick, Victoria and was not to be aware that his skill and imaginative capabilities may eventually make him on of Australia’s best acknowledged and adored artist. Born to Robert Charles William Alexander Lindsay, a physician and his mother was Jane Elizabeth Lindsay. Norman had a total of 10 siblings including 4 sisters and five brothers which included Percy and Lionel, also successful painters in their own right. His status as an artist has survived the trial of time and well into the 21st Century his artworks continue to be keenly sought after by both Australian and Global art lovers alike.
